Biomedical Communications
The mission of Biomedical Communications (BMC) is to provide high quality design and production of various media, including creative and cost-effective print, display, and digital products and services for faculty, staff and students of ETSU. As a unit of the Department of Learning Resources, under the Quillen College of Medicine, BMC employs individuals with an extensive range of qualifications derived from a number of sources — education and health-related design/production environments; advanced coursework in design, media, printing and mechanical art; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; traffic and project management, scheduling and estimating; and communication. Operations of BMC are much like that of a design/production agency with refined systems to manage projects with multiple elements: traffic, scheduling, production, purchasing, customer accounts and billing. A full range of production can be satisfied at BMC from digital printing to finishing. The team also networks with businesses outside the University, utilizing their services when necessary.
